The adult intermediate course acts as a fun, relaxed way for adults to improve their sailing. An opportunity to spend time on the water and to practice and gain confidence in the boat. One can use the club toppers or join with their own boat. Joining requirements are 6 months sailing or completion of level 1 and level 2. An assessment by one of our coaches may be required. This course is open only to Vikings members.
We work on;
- Boat Control
- Acceleration and deceleration
- Complex boat handling e.g. hovering in one place
- Sail Theory, setting up the sail for the conditions and adjusting it for the sailing angle
- Meteorology and preparing for the weather, spotting and adapting to local conditions
